This is just a chart to help out anyone doing DW frost dps.

Good start when learning frost dps, but in practice and the 4pc t10 bonus (using runes to maintain the 3% dmg buff), this chart is out the window.  I've been playing frost for about a month now and it takes a bit of getting use to to get the timings and little quirks straightened out.

With 4pc t10, frost should actually be a rotation with the importance of keeping all 6 runes on cooldown for the 4pc proc -- but due to certain circumstances and the quirkiness of bloodtap/unbreakable armor, there is more to a rotation than just blindly following it.

Instead of a chart, I prefer a set of rules to live by:

1) Keep diseases up.  <-- duh
2) Use both blood runes in succession.  ALWAYS.  This keeps the death runes in sync or within a global of each other.
3) Use double death runes on Obliterate ASAP.  If you don't prioritize this, you won't be able to refresh your diseases with pestilence when your blood runes come off cooldown.
     3.1) Caveat - if diseases are falling off (less than 8 or so seconds remaining), use these death runes as blood strike/pestilence combo.
4) Obliterate when possible (especially in an ARP build)
5) Frost Strike when nothing else to do, and don't worry about Killing Machine or Rime procs.
6) Howling Blast if you can't OB or no runes for Frost Strike.  Howling Blast is last on the "things to do list" unless it's a specific AOE situation (like bone spikes etc.)

Another important aspect of frost dps is when to use the blood tap / unbreakable armor combo.  Since these abilities are both 1 min cooldowns, it's best to use these in conjunction so you don't lose any obliterates.  But sometimes, you get a bad combo of 1 deathrune and 1 bloodrune after using the macro.  Here is how to avoid it:

The Basic Macro:
#showtooltip Unbreakable Armor
/cast Blood Tap
/cast Unbreakable Armor

The 2nd Macro you should have bound somewhere: (more on this later)
/cancelaura Blood Tap

When to use?
1) Make sure your frost and unholy runes have been used on OB.  NEVER use the macro if you have a frost rune not on cooldown.

2a) If you have BLOOD RUNES, use the macro BETWEEN the blood runes.  Do NOT use 2nd Macro.  If timed correctly, it should create 2 death runes for an obliterate later.
i.e.  Pestilence -> Macro -> Blood Strike

2b) If you have DEATH RUNES, use the macro AFTER the Obliterate, THEN use the 2nd macro to cancel the blood tap buff.  This ensures you'll have 2 blood runes.
i.e. OBLITERATE -> Macro -> Cancel Macro
